Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by low platelet counts. It can also result in easy bruising, mucosal bleeding, fatigue, and cognitive impairment. Patients with ITP also have a higher risk of cerebral microbleeds and thrombotic events.1,2
